Happy Giveaway!

It's hard to believe that this month marks 2 years since I began blogging! I pray that it has been as life-giving and impacting for your spiritual life as it has been for me to write what God lays on my heart.

It's a new year and a new season of my life, when I think about the fact that my youngest child will enter pre-school later this year. With those changes, one most certainly reflects on the "what now?" questions. My life has been consumed by the demands of motherhood for the past 8 years (and most certainly will continue!) But, recognizing the potential time for a career or the time to explore an interest definitely is a new and exciting thought.

As I've prayed and thought about these changes, I felt God asking me to put more time, effort, and thought into my writing and blog. I feel a deep, burning desire and calling to someday write a book and focused writing will be an instrumental piece of that final goal. I do not go into this naïvely. I know that writing is hard and full of rejection. I know I need lots of growth and improvement. And I also know that God is bigger than my dreams and all He asks is that I'm faithful in the small things and He will pave the path before me!

So, this is where your important job comes in! As I narrow in on my focus topic for writing, I need to know which blog entries from the past 2 years spoke to you the most? Which one impacted you enough that you can remember a phrase or applied a new thought or behavior to your life? I would LOVE to know and your feedback is the instrumental piece to the future of my writing!

To encourage your comments and feedback, I purchased two life-changing books that you will have a chance to win! Lysa TerKeurst has impacted my life in a huge way through her speaking, books, writing webinars, and First 5 devotional app and I would love for you to read my two favorites! "Unglued" was a book I was drawn to after hearing Lysa speak on Focus on the Family. It talks of making wise choices in the midst of raw emotions. At that point in my life, I had an anger issue and this book helped me to find the trigger points of my anger and resolve it in a God-honoring way. "The Best Yes" is one I am still reading, but I am loving it! In this one, she encourages us to make wise decisions in the midst of endless demands. In this season of my life, it is easy for me to over-commit myself and this is serving as a valuable reminder to seek God's will before saying yes to any decision, no matter how small or large.

All I am asking is for a Facebook comment, a blog comment, or an e-mail stating which  topic or blog entry of mine spoke to you the most and impacted your life in a positive way. Also include which book you would like to be entered to win. I will be announcing the book winners Monday, February 15 at 8 pm Eastern time.

Thanks, in advance, for your part in furthering my writing! Your encouragement is a blessed gift that I hold close to my heart.
